BNT Plate Project — British Licence Plate Overhaul
Transform your GTA V server into a British-themed experience with authentic UK number plates on every vehicle that matters.
BNT Plate Project is a lightweight, client-side resource that does two things: replaces the default GTA plate texture with a custom British plate graphic, and automatically rewrites vehicle plate text to match the real UK registration format — XX## XXX— used on roads across the UK today.
Features
-
Custom British plate texture replacing the default GTA design globally across all vehicles
-
Automatic plate text generation in the current UK format (LA06 ABC, LX23 AMN, etc.) using real DVLA area codes and valid year identifiers
-
Once a plate is assigned it is never overwritten — fully compatible with any script that reads plate text
-
Three filtering modes to suit any server setup:
-
Whitelist — only named vehicle models receive UK plates
-
Blacklist — all vehicles receive UK plates except named models
-
All — every vehicle in the world is converted, no filtering
-
-
Fully configurable via an open config.lua — add or remove vehicle spawncodes without touching any protected code
-
Streamed replacement models and textures included for 50 vehicles (more planned in frequent updates)
-
No server component, no database, no dependencies
Configuration
Open client/config.lua and set your preferred mode:
Config.Mode = 'whitelist' -- 'whitelist', 'blacklist', or 'all'
Add or remove vehicle spawncodes from Config.Whitelist or Config.Blacklist to control exactly which vehicles are affected. No server restart required — a simple resource restart applies changes.
Compatibility
Works alongside any garage, vehicle spawner, or plate-reading script. Using whitelist or blacklist mode lets you exclude player-owned vehicles entirely, preventing any interference with garage plate storage.
-
Framework: None required
-
Client-side only
-

Please note due to the nature of this script, a low resource usage can't be guaranteed. However, testing on a development server showed an average resmon usage of 0.01 with no peaks over 0.02.
